Oyo Records Highest Daily Covid-19 Cases With 103, Total Now 764

As testing continues at the testing centers across the state, Oyo state has recorded 103 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, ngnews247.com reports.

The Nigeria Centre For Diseases Control (NCDC) announced this on Thursday in a tweet.

The new cases as recorded in states on Thursday are as follows:

Lagos-280 Oyo-103 Ebonyi-72 FCT-60 Imo-46 Edo-34 Delta-33 Rivers-25 Kaduna-23 Ondo-16 Katsina-12 Kano-10 Bauchi-8 Borno-7 Kwara-5 Gombe-4 Sokoto-2 Enugu-2 Yobe-1 Osun-1 Nasarawa-1.

This is the highest number of COVID-19 cases ever recorded in the state in one day.

According to data obtained from the NCDC website, Oyo State currently has 474 active COVID-19 cases.

Also, 281 patients have recovered from infections and diacharged, while nine patients have died from COVID-19-related complications in the state.

Oyo State is now fourth on the list of most infected states in the country, behind Lagos, FCT and Kano.
