JUST IN: Protest In Osogbo As Police Allegedly Chased Suspected Yahoo Boys To Death (Photos)


There is currently tension in Osogbo, the state capital of Osun State as some youths have gone on rampage to protest over alleged killing of three suspected internet fraudsters by Police operatives.

Naijaparry News gathered that the suspected internet fraudsters died in an accident following a hot chase by some policemen on Oba Adesoji Aderemi East Bye Pass road some hours ago on Tuesday evening.

Our correspondent learnt that three of the suspected yahoo boys were said to have died immediately in the accident while the fourth occupant of the car sustained serious injury.

Findings revealed that the suspects were being trailed by the police from the Osun Mall.


The situation has sparked protest from some residents of the state who have blocked the Osogbo East bypass, Dele Yes Sir and Lameco roads in Osogbo.

The situation has disrupted free flow of traffic around Oke-Fia, Ola-Iya, Alekuwodo, Capital, Odi-Olowo axis.


Some irate youths also attacked police vehicle around Alekuwodo area.

To protest the alleging killing, youths numbering about 35, mounted bikes and started attacking commuters as well as traffic officers with dangerous weapons.


The waylaid a patrol vehicle of Joint Task Force along Alekuwodo area and destroyed it.
