There was confusion at the office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 11, Osogbo, Bashir Makama on Friday as the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Adewale Akanbi allegedly attacked and punched another monarch, Agbowu of Ogbaagba, Oba Dhirulai Akinropo over land matter.

We gathered from a reliable source that the attack occurred before the AIG and other monarchs from Iwo axis when they were called to a meeting for settlement over land tussle in the area.

A source said the Oluwo has been asking the monarchs to stop selling lands because the lands in Iwoland belong to him.

But the monarchs had allegedly resisted and insisted that the land in question does not belong to Oluwo.

Speaking at the hospital where he was receiving treatment, Oba Akinropo said “I was attacked by Oba Akanbi right before the AIG and other Obas. You can see the wound on my face, Oba Akanbi inflicted it on me.”
