Gunman arrested for robbing woman of her phone In Anambra

A 23-year old man, Ikechukwu Jude has been arrested for allegedly robbing a woman of her phone valued at N45,000 in Amakwu village Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra state.

The suspect, a native of Isielu, Enugu State, reportedly robbed the phone from the victim, Jennifer Okwueze at gunpoint.

The Police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed who confirmed the incident, said the suspect was arrested by the police operatives attached to the Command Special Anti Robbery Squard (SARS) in conjuction with local Vigilante Group.

He said the suspect would be charged after investigations were concluded.

He said, “On the 11/6/2020 at about 3:30pm, following a tip off, police operatives attached to the Command Special Anti Robbery Squard (SARS) in conjuction with Local Vigilante Group arrested one Ikechukwu Jude ‘m’ aged 23 years of Isielu, Enugu State.

“Suspect had on the 10/6/2020 at about 8:45pm within Amakwu village Oraifite allegedly robbed one Jennifer Okwueze ‘f’ of her infinix phone valued #45,000 at gunpoint.

“Exhibits recovered from the suspect include one single barrel revolver pistol and the snatched phone.

“Case under investigation after which suspect would be charged to court for prosecution.”
