Buni/Gubana Empower Yobe Youths

Poised to empower young Nigerians in creating wealth and bridging the widening rate of unemployment, Buni/Gubana Youth Empowerment Initiative has on Saturday re-launched its youth empowerment programme in Potiskum town of Yobe State.

The programme is a partnership programme between the incumbent Governor Maimala Buni and his Deputy Idi Barde Gubana initiated to empower the teeming unemployed youths in the area.

The event held at Potiskum local government Secretariat saw distribution of Keke NAPEP Tricycles, Grinding Machines, Sewing Machines and Tricycle Carriers.

Deputy Speaker of the Yobe State House of Assembly Auwal Isa Danchuwa who represented the Deputy Governor Idi Barde Gubana said the donation was intended to meet the needs of middle income Yobeans, “we are also very keen on empowering and helping young people of the State in order to create wealth.”

He further noted that the Buni/Gubana is determined to respond to improving macroeconomic indices by exciting the market with new initiative, ” It has become imperative to create opportunities like this to begin to inculcate the culture of investment in young Nigerians.

“It is clear to everyone that Buni/Gubana is one of the most sustainable investments”.

Youth Leader All Progressive Congress (APC) in Yobe State Babangida Ibrahim urged the beneficiaries to make use of the items donated to them judiciously.

In his vote of thanks, the Director Personnel Management (DPM) and Overseer of Potiskum local government area Ibrahim Yayangida Abubakar commended the initiative “this is a great thing to our youths, it will go a long way in improving the economy and living conditions of the youths”
