Buhari Finally Explains Why Osinbajo’s Aides Were Sacked (Video)

President Muhammadu Buhari has said the sack of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s aides was not a political move as largely insinuated.

Naijaparry had reported that about 35 of Osinbajo’s aides were sacked by Buhari with the development sparking heated debates among Nigerians.

Some claimed it was a calculated move to clip the political wings of Osinbajo just as the pan-Yoruba group Afenifere alleged that the VP is being “serial assaults.”

However, Buhari has refuted the insinuations as he, on Friday, returned to the country from the United Kingdom where he went for a “private visit.”

According to him, the sack of aides was part of the re-organization going on in the Presidency.

“We are going to work harder, be accountable and try to make Nigerians understand why we do certain things whether they appreciate it or not,” Buhari stated.

“Like, they said 35 people were sacked in the Vice President’s office. We just created a ministry and we reorganised and people are giving ethnic and political dimensions. It is unfortunate.”

Naijaparry understands that Buhari had established an Economic Advisory Council to replace the Economic Management Team led by Osinbajo, triggering speculations that the latter is being persecuted.
